A pretty container is not enough for a successful Eid treat. The right starting point is the person who will receive it: their tastes, their possible allergies, then the way in which the gift will be transported and consumed. This little method allows you to prepare several gifts without making multiple purchases or confusing decorative packaging and food packaging.
Start with the number of recipients
List the people you want to give something to, then distinguish between individual gifts and gifts for a family. A small shared assortment can be more relevant than several identical bags. Also note who is absent on the day of the party: their gift may have to wait or travel, which changes the choice of content.
Then choose an overall envelope and divide it between the contents and the packaging. Using containers you already have can free up some of the budget for treats you really enjoy. A reused ribbon and a hand-written card are often enough to personalize the whole thing.
Choose sweets that are easy to identify
For a first preparation, choose a short selection: one or two types of sweets, rather than a mixture that is difficult to describe. Ingredients and allergens must remain identifiable. Keep the original packaging or attach useful information, especially if you divide the contents of a large package into several gifts.
Dates can be a solution, provided you look at the variety, the packaging and the seller's instructions. Our department dates and sweets helps compare formats. A large batch is only interesting if you have planned how to share and store it. Do not use an assumed shelf life: the product label remains the reference.
If you cook yourself, choose a recipe that you already know. Avoid a delicate preparation to transport if the journey is long. For gelled desserts, theVahiné agar-agar is a vegetable option to use in a suitable recipe; it does not automatically substitute for gelatin.
Separate food protection from decor
A bag sold for gifts does not, in itself, guarantee that it is suitable for direct contact with food. Place the treats in suitable food packaging, then add the decorative container. Also keep in mind small detachable elements when the gift is for a child.
For some attention, the HEKU folding boxes of four and the Folat bags per six meet different needs. The box asks to check the interior volume; the bag must be adapted to the weight of the present. For a larger distribution, the set of AhfuLife sachets especially deserves a check of the number of recipients and the assortment of designs.
Assemble one copy before preparing the whole batch
Make a full gift first. Check the closure, stability and space left for the contents, then take this first copy as a benchmark. Arrange empty packaging, presents and labels in the order of preparation. This organization makes it possible to spot a shortage before having started the last gifts.
Identify recipients as you go. Don't let a card with dietary information become detached from the corresponding gift. Store the presents according to the product instructions: a beautiful box does not change their conservation needs.
Present gifts on Eid
Reserve a dry and stable space, away from drinks and heat sources. If you arrange the attentions on the table, leave enough room for dishes and movement. Our advice for pretty Eid table and our guide to succeed in gift wrapping complete this preparation without imposing a new shopping list.
The final check
Before closing each gift, check four elements: the recipient, the contents, useful information and protection during transport. Attention matters more than quantity. A small, well-chosen gift, clearly presented and pleasant to receive has its place in the beautiful moments of Eid.
